 Introduction to Fly Fishing Clinic

This one and a half-day clinic will cover all the basic information you need to be an independant fly fisher in this area. On Saturday afternoon, we'll tie knots, discuss trout foods and their imitations, talk about equipment and where and when to go to various types of water. On our all-day Sunday field trip, we'll practice casting and presenting a fly to trout on a private ranch.
This class is geared toward those folks who are beginning fly fishers, or those who want a structured review of basic topics. Most of our time will be instructional, with about a half day of opportunity to practice newly-acquired skills hooking, playing and releasing fish.
Fishing equipment will be provided, or bring your own.

Private Introduction to Fly Fishing
The mysteries of fly fishing are explained in a day-long class. Topics covered include casting, equipment selection and handling, trout foods and their imitations, knot tying, presenting flies to trout, and hooking, playing and releasing fish. This class is recommended for beginning fly fishers or those wanting a structured review of basic topics. Fly fishing equipment provided or bring your own. Not a basic guide trip, this is a class tailored to fit both your background and your future goals in becoming a more independant fly fisher.
